Kazakhstan opens 13 new airline routes in 2014

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - It is planned to open 13 new airline routes in Kazakhstan in 2014, according to the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Kainform refers to primeminister.kz.

The aircraft fleet will be renewed with 14 new aircrafts, including 4 long-haul and 10 short-haul aircrafts.

In addition, in 2014 it is planned to introduce standards for handling passengers with disabilities at the airports of Astana, Almaty and Aktau. Reconstruction of the passenger terminal of the Astana International Airport is expected as well.

According to the ministry, in the field of civil aviation the Ministry of Transport and Communications will mainly focus on the successful conduct of the audit by the International Civil Aviation Organization ICAO.
