Kazakhstan participated in the annual OSCE/ODIHR Human Dimension Implementation Meeting

Kazakhstan delegation led by Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Usen Suleimen participated the event. The delegation also included representatives of the General Prosecutor's Office, Central Election Commission, Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Justice, and the Agency for Religious Affairs of Kazakhstan.
The event was traditionally attended by the representatives of non-governmental organizations of OSCE participating states, including from Kazakhstan.
In his opening speech Usen Suleimen briefed the delegates on Kazakhstan government's activities in political modernization, including the activities within the framework of «Strategy - 2050», and the Act, establishing national preventive mechanism, aimed at preventing torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, signed by the President.
The Kazakhstan's Ambassadot-at-Large touched on the Concept of Legal Policy for 2010-2020, Kazakhstan's activities at the UN Human Rights Council for 2013-2015, regional governors elections, modernization of the criminal law, and «The dialogue platform on the human dimension» consultative and advisory body at the Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry aimed at positions coordination, and generation of new ideas and approaches to political development of Kazakhstan.
Concluding his speech, Usen Suleimen called on the western partners and their human rights representatives in Kazakhstan to the constructive dialogue with Astana in order to foster Kazakhstan's strategic plans of the political development.
