Kazakhstan participates in development of international space standards

ASTANA. October 31. KAZINFORM /Sara Kabikyzy/ The delegation of 'Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary' JSC took part in the regular session of the international organization for standardization ISO/TC 20 'Aircraft and Space Vehicles' held in Berlin.  

Six countries of 14 TC 20 member-states such as the USA, Great Britain, France, Germany, China and Kazakhstan took part in the 43rd ISO session organized in cooperation with Standardization Institute of Germany.

According to Chairman of the Kazakhstan Technical Committee 66, First Vice President of 'Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary' JSC Marat Nurguzhin our country has become a full member of ISO in July, 2008 and participated in the session for the first time.

During the session the participants heard reports of ISO Central Secretariat, TC 20 Secretariat and subcommittees. The issues of procedure on recognition of standards in line with ISO regulations and TC 20 rules, interaction of TC 20 with aircraft organizations and etc. were also considered at the session.

Following the results of the 43rd session it was decided to hold session with regularity of 12-14 months instead of 18 months to see results of the TC activity. The delegation from France proposed to hold next 44th session in October-December, 2010 in Paris.

The Kazakh delegation expressed wish to give its comments to the TC 20 draft business-plan and expressed interest to become a member-participant of the subcommittee SC 1 "Aerospace electrical requirements".
