Kazakhstan pays special attention to development of parliamentarism and democracy: OSCE Center in Astana

ASTANA. February 17. KAZINFORM /Kurmat Samarkhan/ A meeting of members of the Club of Editors-in-Chief with Ambassador of the OSCE Center in Astana Alexander Kelchevsky has been held today in Astana, Kazinform reports.

The Ambassador noted that a big Kazakh delegation will participate in the eighth winter session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. This fact witnesses that Kazakhstan pays special attention to the development of parliamentarism and principles of democratization on the OSCE space. These measures are taken prior to Kazakhstan OSCE chairmanship in 2010. ?Your country entered the OSCE Troika in the beginning of this year. Besides, the Kazakh Foreign Minister took part in the work of the OSCE Quintet. Big work and cooperation in all spheres of the organization?s activity is coming?, A.Kelchevsky noted. As reported earlier, the eighth PACE session will be held on February 19-20, 2009. The initiative of the Russian and French Presidents on new European security will be one of the topical themes of the session.
