Kazakhstan plans to export 15 mln tons of grain in 2011-2012 marketing year

AKTAU. March 16. KAZINFORM "Kazakhstan is expected to export up to 15 mln tons of grain this marketing year," executive secretary of the Kazakh Agriculture Ministry Eugenie Aman told a press conference following the media tour for Astana journalists.

"I would like to specify the marketing year is July 2011 - July 2012. We plan to ship another 6-7 mln tons until the next harvest. This marketing year we expect to export up to 15 mln tons of grain, Aman said. Since the beginning of the marketing new year, since July 1, 2011 up to present Kazakhstan has already shipped about 7.5 mln tons of grain," he added.
