As representatives of the Kazakh Scientific and Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology noted, modern innovative methods of diagnosis and treatment of tumors were widely introduced in the country's oncological practice. This allows to reduce the mortality rate and improve the quality of medical services.
According to the participants of the conference, the disease incidence has been reduced in the country. The mortality rate dropped by 23% as well.
As the WHO forecasts, the disease incidence and mortality caused by malignant neoplasms will increase 1.5-2 times worldwide by 2020.
