Kazakhstan plans to launch new flights, buy new planes in 2025
Kazakhstan plans to launch new flights and purchase additional aircraft in 2025, Kazinform News Agency quotes Maksat Kaliakparov, Vice Minister of Transport, as saying.
According to him, in 2024, Kazakhstan has launched flights along 22 routes, and plans to launch another 10 flights next year, including to Budapest, Munich, and Rome. The ministry also plans to buy 18 aircraft next year, while 10 were acquired in 2024, he said.
As for domestic flights, their launch will depend on financing, the minister noted.
“We intend to develop domestic flights too. These flights will be subsidized. The akimats will submit their bids. As soon as we determine the sources of financing, we will open additional routes. In whole, there is no problem with launching both international and domestic flights. The problem is in financing only,” Maksat Kaliakparov explained.
Earlier, in an exclusive interview with Kazinform, President of the ICAO Council, Mr. Salvatore Sciacchitano revealed Kazakhstan’s progress in aviation sector and aspiration to green aviation.
