The sides discussed a spectrum of issues related to the Kazakh-British cooperation during the meeting. Historical importance of the first ever state visit of British PM David Cameron to Kazakhstan in July and signing of the joint declaration on strategic partnership were noted.

Utmost attention was paid to the potential in inter-parliamentary interaction, especially between the Kazakhstani and British parliaments and within various international forums.

"Kazakhstan will do its best to support the active participation of British businessmen in the implementation of projects on diversification of Kazakhstani economy, development of highly technological and export oriented enterprises," K. Mami pointed out.

Dr. Browne, in turn, thanked the Kazakh parliament for timely ratification of an agreement with Great Britain on transit of British military equipment and personnel across Kazakhstan's territory from Afghanistan.
