Kazakhstan presents technology for camel meat production at exhibition in Japan
Kazakhstan participated in the Foodtech Japan Tokyo, the largest food exhibition in Japan, Kazinform News Agency reports via the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
One of the projects presented by the Kazakh side, backed by the country's Science Fund, is the technology for production of camel meat products and canned meat.
The project is implemented by a team of researchers form the Kazakh National Agrarian University under the supervision of professor Assiya Serikbayeva.
With a high protein content (up to 29.8%), camel meat does not contain cholesterol. Camel meat is rich in phosphorus, potassium, iron and vitamins A, B1, B2, B9, PP, C and E.
Apart from the Japanese market, the Kazakh stand aroused interest of Central Asian businessmen.
