Kazakhstan President arrives in Lisbon for NATO Summit

LISBON. November 19. KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ President Nursultan Nazarbayev has arrived in Lisbon for participation in the NATO Summit at invitation of NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen.

The Head of the State is accompanied by Head of the President's Administration Aslan Mussin, Secretary of State-Minister of Foreign Affairs Kanat Saudabayev, President's Aide Nurlan Yermekbayev, Ambassador to Belgium, Head of Kazakhstan's Mission to the NATO Yerik Utembayev, Ambassador to France and Portugal Nurlan Danenov.

As expected, on Saturday, November 20, N.Nazarbayev will attend a session of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) on Afghanistan. NATO heads of state and government as well as President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso, representatives of the World Bank and Japan will partake in the event.
