Kazakhstan President interested in joint projects with Canada in the field of nuclear energy

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan is particularly interested in joint projects with Canada in the field of nuclear energy, this has been announced by President Nursultan Nazarbayev in Akorda during the ceremony of presenting credentials by the ambassadors of foreign countries.

"Development of comprehensive relations with Canada is of high importance for Kazakhstan. We bring together mutual interests in global and regional security, economy and energy, trade and investment. Canada is an important trading partner of Kazakhstan in the Americas, and Kazakhstan is an important partner for Canada in the CIS", said Nursultan Nazarbayev. President noted that 170 enterprises with Canadian participation and 40 representative offices of Canadian companies operate in Kazakhstan. They mainly operate in mining, agricultural, construction and education sectors.
