Kazakhstan President to pay official visit to Turkmenistan this fall
This became known after the today's meeting of the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erlan Idrissov and the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov in Astana. During the visit, the most important issues of bilateral cooperation will be discussed at the highest level. The issues for the discussion include the development of trade-economic, transport and regional collaboration, as well as international and regional points, said the head of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. "The upcoming visit will open a new page in relations between our two countries", noted E. Idrissov. "The main purpose of my trip is to prepare a high-level visit of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Turkmenistan this autumn. I am sure that this event will be another important historical stage for strengthening friendship and cooperation between our two states", said R. Meredov. Following the round table in Astana a cooperation plan of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan Foreign Ministries for 2015 - 2016 was signed.
