Kazakhstan produces around 75mln tons of oil in 10 mths

 Kazakh Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had a meeting Energy Minister Almassadam Satkaliyev, during which he was informed about the main issues of development of the energy sector and the performance of the fuel and energy complex of the country in 10 months of 2023 as well as the realization of major oil and gas and energy projects, Kazinform Agency cites the Akorda press service. 

During the meeting, Satkaliyev said that the country produced 74.8mln tons of crude oil, 11.2mln tons of petroleum products, 48.7bn cubic meters of gas, 93.5bn kWh of electricity, and 15.35 thousand tons of uranium in the said period.

The President was informed about the measures carried out to develop the national electricity network, new mechanism for electricity sales introduced in June 2023.

Tokayev was also briefed about additional monitoring of the winter heating season. In particular, 5.5mln tons of coal and 100 thousand tons of fuel oil were prepared for the energy facilities of the country.

The Kazakh Head of State was informed about the plans of the Ministry on further gasification of the country.

Following the meeting, the President instructed to keep under special control the heating season and realization of the projects aimed at modernizing the energy infrastructure as well as take measures to ensure uninterrupted supplies of fuel and lubricants and liquified petroleum gas to the domestic market.
