Kazakhstan promoted to World Junior 2025 Top Division

 Kazakhstan will be returning to the World Junior Championship Top Division, Kazinform News Agency cites the National Olympic Committee of the country. 

Following the victory of France over Austria, Kazakhstan remained atop of the Group A of the Division IA tournament in Budapest, Hungary, with 12 points. Thus, Kazakhstanis locked up their spot at the 2025 World Juniors to take place in Ottawa, Canada.

Kazakhstan is to hold its final match against Austria within the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship Division 1, Group A, at night on December 16-17.

Kazakhstan will be returning to the World Junior Championship Top Division for the first time since 2020.
