Kazakhstan proposes to introduce moratorium on sturgeon fishing
BAKU. November 18. KAZINFORM /Arnur Mukhametkarim/ Nursultan Nazarbayev initiated to introduce moratorium on sturgeon fishing at the third Summit of Caspian states.
'Taking into account that their numerosity has reduced significantly over recent years Kazakhstan proposes to introduce moratorium on sturgeon fishing for five years at least', the Head of Kazakhstan said.
This decision is called on to help restore the population and save it for the next generation. As the President said scientific prove was needed and legally signed documents on productive cooperation in the sphere of the use of resources of the sea and countering pouching and it should be achieved through signing of agreement.
