Kazakhstan ranks among Top 24 places to visit in 2024

Kazakhstan was named one of the top 24 places to visit in 2024, Kazinform News Agency learnt from the Kazakh Tourism and Sports Ministry.

This year Almaty was included in the New York Times list of 52 Places to Go in 2024. According to the Wanderlust, Kazakhstan ranks among the Top 24 places to visit in 2024. Besides, the Condé Nast Traveler Italia features Kazakhstan in the Top 5 skiing destinations of the world.

In 2023 the World Tourism Organization declared the village of Saty in Kazakhstan as the best tourism village.

The Travelscapes rated Kazakhstan at the Versatile Excellence Travel Awards ceremony as a popular destination for tourists from India and the UAE. Kazakhstan - Like Never Before video won two prizes at the ART& TUR Film Festival in Portugal, the Ministry said.

According to the Ministry’s data, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Kazakhstan grew 20-fold from 17,700 in 2022 to 367,400 in 2023, arrivals from India increased threefold from 28,300 in 2022 to 78,000 in 2023, by 2.5 times from South Korea from 15,800 in 2022 to 35,600 in 2023. The number of travelers from Qatar doubled from 500 in 2022 to 1,000, arrivals from Germany increased by 50% from 57,000 in 2022 to 85,000 in 2023, and by 50% from the UAE from 6,500 to 10,500.
