Kazakhstan records no cases of COVID Pinola strain
The Kazakh health ministry has revealed the results of the latest genomic sequencing of COVID-19, identifying coronavirus strains circulating in the country, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.
According to the results of the last genomic sequencing of COVID-19, it was revealed that the Omicron XBB.1.9 variant accounts for 31.3%, Omicron XBB.1.16 variant for 21,5%, and Eris subvariant of Omicron – 25.49%. No cases of the Omicron ВА2.86 subvariant has been identified.
A total of 10.8 million Kazakhstanis have so far received the first dose, and 10.6 million the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
