Kazakhstan reveals roster for 2024 World Taekwondo Asian Qualification Tournament

Kazakhstan revealed the roster for the World Taekwondo Asian Qualification Tournament, a Paris 2024 Olympic Qualifier, to be held in Tai'an of China, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Maria Sevostiyanova (57 kg), the finalist of the Asian Youth Championships 2022, and Zhansel Deniz (above 67 kg), the winner of many international tournaments, and participant of two Olympic Games in 2016 and 2021, are set to vie for an Olympic berth in the women’s events. Winner of many international tournaments Samirkhon Ababakirov (58kg) and winner of many international contests, bronze medalist of the 2022 World Youth Championships Batyrkhan Toleugali (80kg) will seek Olympic qualification in men’s finals.

To secure a berth the country’s taekwondo fighters should propel to the finals of the World Taekwondo Asian Qualification Tournament slated for March 15 and 16.
