A meeting on the development of the North-South and Trans-Caspian International Transport Route transport corridors with the participation of Kazakh deputy prime minister Serik Zhumagarin took place in Mangistau, Kazinform News Agency reports.

During the meeting, it was noted that the North-South corridor across which goods are transported between Aktau and northern Iran is the promising direction in light of the development of alternative trade routes. The eastern extension of the North-South corridor runs across Mangistau region.

It was known that Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan are planning to create a joint facility across the North-South corridor aiming at improving service, reducing the time of delivery of goods and service based on the single window principle.
