Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus can establish better union than EU if take into account its failures - President

ASTANA. April 25. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus can establish a better union than the European Union, if they take into account its shortcomings and failures, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said in an interview with "Russia 24" TV channel.

Europe faces hard times, we know it, we see it. However, we must remember that they have been engaged in this union for more than 60 years since 50's. During these 60 years they created strong integration links that can not be broken. That would be something like after the collapse of the Soviet Union - all of the economic and political ties were broken and people felt negative around them. Therefore we can not think that the whole Europe is falling apart; time goes by, it is modernized, reformed, it still needs to change," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

According to him, one of the advantages of Kazakhstan, Belarus and Russia is that these three countries achieve prosperity not at the expense of debts, as it was in Europe, and therefore there is no need to lower wages and reduce pensions.
