Kazakhstan, Russia solved problems in rail freight and electricity transmission within Single Economic Space
SAINT PETERSBURG. November 19. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Kazakhstan and Russia solved the problematic issues in rail freight and electricity transmission within the Single Economic Space. Prime Minister Karim Massimov has announced it at a press conference following the session of the supreme bodies of the Customs Union in Saint Petersburg today.
"Those questions set by Kazakhstan 19 years ago related, primarily, to railway transit and tariffs. This is quite important for the domestic enterprises", K. Massimov said. "Within the Single Economic Space we have no contradictions now", he added.
"While discussing this package of documents we have found a mutually beneficial decision for Kazakhstani enterprises located in the western regions experiencing shortage of electricity now. The problem will be solved due to transit of Kazakhstan electricity through the territory of the Russian Federation", the PM noted.
