Kazakhstan's Armed Forces at 20

ASTANA. May 7. KAZINFORM Today, May 7, 2012 on the Defender of Motherland Day, the Armed Forces of independent Kazakhstan celebrate the 20th anniversary.

On May 7, 1992 the State Defence Committee was reorganized as the Defence Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 1992 President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev decreed the establishment of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.

This year Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the decree "On the 20th anniversary of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan".
