Kazakhstan's coop with EIB will encourage foreign investment - Economy & Budget Planning Minister

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Minister of Economy and Budget Planning of Kazakhstan Yerbolat Dossayev has met with Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Wilhelm Molterer, the press service of the Ministry informs.

Kazakhstan considers cooperation with the European Investment Bank as an important element of an integrated development of relations with the European Union which is the largest trade partner of our state, said Yerbolat Dossayev.

In addition, the head of the Ministry noted that collaboration with the bank will encourage foreign investment inflow and business activity development.

In April 2010, in Brussels there was signed a framework agreement between Kazakhstan and the European Investment Bank on the institution's operation in Kazakhstan (which came into force in April 2011) and the MoU between «Samruk - Kazyna» JSC and «Development Bank of Kazakhstan» JSC on the one hand and the EIB on the other hand, providing the EIB's willingness to invest 300 million euros in projects on the territory of Kazakhstan.
