Kazakhstan's explored gold reserves up by 325 tons

ASTANA. KAZINFORM "Kazakhstan's explored gold reserves increased by 325 tons in 2013," head of the Geology and Subsoil Management Committee of the Kazakh Industry and New Technologies Bazarbai Nurabayev told a press conference in Astana.

"Last year subsoil users invested about KZT 120 bln, above KZT 20 bln was forwarded out of the budget means in 2010-2013," he added. As stated there, all geological benchmarks were achieved in 2013. Further work should be focused on implementation of high-tech methods of geological exploration. In particular, it is expected to introduce geochemical mapping, use earth remote sensing.
