Kazakhstan?s fuel supply exceeds last year?s index
ASTANA. January 14. KAZINFORM. As reported earlier, the prices for foodstuff, fuel and the issues of heating season were considered at the telephone session with the participation of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov on January 12.
The growth of oil and gas condensate extraction in Kazakhstan in 2008 amounted to 4.8%. According to the updated information, 70.6 mln tons of oil with gas condensates was extracted in 2008, that is 104.8% against 2007.
Herein, taking into account the balance of export and import operations, petrol consumption in Kazakhstan in 2008 increased by 6.9% as compared to 2007, diesel fuel consumption ? by 12.3%, jet fuel ? by 15% and oil-fuel ? by 3.3%.
The energy sources, electrical and heating networks in all regions were prepared in time and work in a winter regime.
In the most of power stations the fuel was prepared at the required level. To January 7, 2009 the coal resources exceeded the last year level by 39% and oil-fuel ? by 141%.
