Kazakhstan's Golubev out of ATP tournament in Austria

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Argentinian tennis player Juan Monaco has reached second round of the ATP's Bet-at-home Cup with the prize fund of $426,605 in Kitzbühel, Austria, Kazinform has learnt from Sports.kz.

In the first-round match the 30-year-old Monaco routed Andrey Golubev of Kazakhstan in three sets 0:6, 6:2, 6:1.

Golubev, 27, dominated throughout the first set serving three aces and making five double faults, however, Monaco managed to turn of the tables and won the last two sets. Monaco will vie against Jarkko Nieminen from Finland in next round. The Finn sent Russian tennis player Teymuraz Gabashvili packing after two tight sets in their respective first-round match.
