ASTANA. July 18. KAZINFORM The opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan with the new honorary consul of Kazakhstan to Romania Petru Lificiu in Galati city in attendance was held, the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

The official opening ceremony was also attended by heads and representatives of the administrations of the cities and regions of Braila, Buzau, Constanta, Galati, Tulcea, Vrancea, owned by the consular district, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, business community, clergy, and Kazakhstani students.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, charge d'affaires of Kazakhstan in Romania Talgat Kaliyev noted that the opening of the Honorary Consulate in the East Romania is aimed at further development of relations between the two countries. It was noted that the opening of the consulate is a testament to the practical implementation of high-level talks held in the framework of the recent visit of Prime Minister of Romania Victor Ponta to Kazakhstan and the beginning of a new stage of economic and trade cooperation between the two nations.

The representative of the Romanian foreign ministry handed over a message from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Titus Corlatean, adding that the opening of the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan demonstrates high level of relations between the two countries. The recent visit of the Romanian Government to Astana has confirmed that Kazakhstan is a key and reliable partner of Romania in Central Asia.

Honorary consul of Kazakhstan to Romania Petru Lificiu with representation in the Galati expressed his gratitude for confidence and assured he will make every efforts for further interaction.
