It has been announced by Nursultan Nazarbayev, the president of the country, at the joint session of the Kazakh parliament chambers in Astana today.

"As you can see, presently some of the most perspective countries are experiencing inner social troubles. Unemployment, low incomes, disproportions in the social development have become the reality for many of them," the Kazakh President stressed.

"The situation in Kazakhstan is quite the opposite. In the first half of 2013, the GDP in Kazakhstan has exceed 5%. Amid global economic trends, this is pretty good. GDP per capita has surpassed $12 thousand. In addition, aggregate international reserves, including foreign-exchange holdings of the National Fund, amounted to $90 billion," President Nazarbayev noted.
