Kazakhstan's OIC chairmanship is additional example of high intl authority of our country - reception in Jeddah

ASTANA. December 8. KAZINFORM The Permanent Mission of Kazakhstan to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the Kazakh Consulate have held a reception devoted to the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence in Jeddah; the Kazakh MFA's press service reports.

Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the OIC Bakhyt Batyrshayev emphasized that over 20 years Kazakhstan under leadership of President Nursultan Nazarbayev became one of the most successful and dynamically developing countries of the world. The current Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OIC is an additional example of the high international authority of our country.

Kazakh Consul in Jeddah Omar Mustafin stressed deep historic ties that unite the peoples of Central Asia, in particular, Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia.

On behalf of Saudi Arabia Director General of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohammed Tayeb congratulated the Kazakhstanis on the Independence Day. The Saudi Arabian diplomat highly appraised the level of bilateral Kazakh-Saudi relations as well as Kazakhstan's achievements over the years of independence.

Representatives of the diplomatic corps, Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, employees of the general Secretariat and various institutions of the OIC, representatives of business circles were invited to the event.
