Kazakhstan's openness continues to yield benefit - ex-President of France
PARIS. October 28. KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ Kazakhstan's openness and moderation of the Kazakh diplomacy continue to yield benefit. Former French President Valéry Giscard d'Estaing has said at the conference devoted to the 20th anniversary of the Paris Charter and the Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE.
The ex-President noted that Kazakhstan was a connecting link between Europe and Asia. This is the first post-soviet state to become the OSCE chairman. In this context Kazakhstan bears great responsibility.
"Your personal involvement, which is recognized in interconfessional dialogue, your work in the field of collective security, in the continuity of the Corfu Process is also highly appreciated by us", he said addressing President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Mr. Valéry Giscard d'Estaing wished success to Kazakhstan in organization of the Summit.
