Kazakhstan's participation in Russia's import substitution debated

MOSCOW. KAZINFORM First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev has met with his Russian counterpart Igor Shuvalov in Moscow to debate further deepening of economic integration of the two nations.

Besides, the sides are expected to discuss participation of Kazakhstani enterprises in the state import substitution program of Russia. According to the Kazakh Government's press service, Kazakhstan proposes 60 companies ready to supply products of machine building, mining, pharmaceutical, light and wood-working industries to the Russian market. Besides, 20 Kazakhstan-based companies express readiness to supply flour, rice, onion, tinned vegetables, honey and confectionaries to Russia.
