Kazakhstan's plant to produce 180,000 tons of sulfuric acid a year
AKTAU. KAZINFORM As stated at a presentation held at the Taraz Chemical Park free economic zone, sulfuric acid for MAEK-Kazatomprom will be produced at a new plant in Stepnogorsk. It will produce 180,000 tons of acid a year.

But for the free economic zone management company, founded as the joint stock company there was also established the United Chemical Company (a Samruk Kazyna Fund subsidiary) to supervise construction of the new plant. Besides, Atyrau will build a polyethylene plastic plant there. It is the project of South Korean LG Chem, one of the leading petrochemical companies in the world.
