Kazakhstan's population expected to increase by 18 mln by 2020: Nazarbayev

ASTANA. March 5. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has said at the Congress of Women that the population of Kazakhstan is expected to reach 18 mln people by 2020.

N.Nazarbayev reminded that introduction of the Unified National Healthcare System would be accomplished soon. 350 new ambulance stations, policlinics and rural health posts will be put into operation by 2015.

"This will allow reducing child and maternal mortality twofold and total mortality by 30%. The life expectancy will increase by 72 years by 2020," the President said.
