Kazakhstan's presidency gave new impetus for strengthening of control over armament
ASTANA. December 1. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The presidency of Kazakhstan in the OSCE gave a new impetus for strengthening of control regime over the armament. Secretary of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Saudabayev said it at the OSCE Summit in Astana which is held in the Palace of Independence.
'The conflict in Kyrgyzstan proved the relevance and importance of the OSCE which would monitor the situation in future as well as render all-round assistance. Our presidency gave new impetus for strengthening the control over armament. We hope that next year the modernized Vienna document of 1999 will be adopted', K. Saudabayev said.
He also noted that Kazakhstan put a lot of efforts to strengthen cooperation in regard of countering transnational threats including those that come outside of the OSCE territory, first of all it was Afghanistan.
