Kazakhstan's Republican Scientific Centre of Neurosurgery is 5 years old

ASTANA. June 27. KAZINFORM - Within the celebrations of 5 years' functioning the Republican Scientific Center of Neurosurgery will hold demonstrations of brain surgery and will provide free consulting of neurosurgeons and neurologists, the press service of the institution reports.

"July 1 of this year the Republican Scientific Center of Neurosurgery will be 5 years old. The anniversary is the reason for demonstration of operations and free consultations of neurosurgeons and neurologists working in the center, " reads the statement.

"With the live broadcast of the operating process young neurosurgeons, residents, and course participants will be able to see a unique surgery to remove a brain tumor. Also on this day there will be conducted an open day of the center, when everyone can get free recommendations from neurosurgeons and neurologists, as well as diagnostic tests, " states the Republican Scientific Center of Neurosurgery.

Each year over 2,300 surgeries are done in the center on patients with the most complex disorders of the nervous system, and this number is increasing every year. About 4 thousand patients each year receive a highly skilled neurosurgical care at the institution.

During 5 years within the walls of the center have been treated 18,000 patients, more than 10,000 operations done, and 36 new neurosurgical techniques been invented.

Today it is the only specialized clinic in Kazakhstan which provides a full range of neurosurgical services - from diagnostics and ending with early rehabilitation of patients.
