Kazakhstan's Shvedova advances to WTA Nürnberg quarterfinal
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstani professional tennis player Yaroslava Shvedova has eased into the quarterfinal of the WTA tournament in Nürnberg, Germany, Kazinform has learnt from Sports.kz.

She beat Kurumi Nara from Japan in the second-round match in straight sets 6:4, 6:2. The 26-year-old Shvedova needed one hour and 15 minutes and four aces to route the Rio Open champion. In the last eight, Shvedova will play either Canadian Eugenie Bouchard or Aussie Anastasia Rodionova.
