Kazakhstan's Student film released in France

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Student by Kazakhstan's Darejan Omirbayev has been released in France, Kazakhfilm reports.As director of Les Acacias, an official distributor of the film in France, Simon Simsi said, its press screening received favorable review in the French press.

The movie had its world premiere at the 65th Cannes Film Festival. It was also featured at the A-class film festivals, namely, the 25th Tokyo Film Festival, 27th Mar del Plata Film Festival, 43rd International Festival of India and 16th Shanghai International Film Festival. Generally Student participated in more than 30 festivals the worldwide. It gained awards of the Lisbon and Estoril International Film Festival in Portugal, and the Best Asian Film Award at the VIII Eurasia international film festival in Almaty.
