Kazakhstan's team of Paralympic athletes start for Lion World Cup

ASTANA. July 17. KAZINFORM - From Astana to Lion (France) for the world championship of athletes with a disability on July 14 left Kazakhstan's National Team of Paralympic athletes.

Kazakh sportspeople won once 8 licenses to participate in the World Cup. Our country is represented by Ainur Baiduldaeva (running 100 meters, running 200 m), Ainur Taizhanova (long jump), Amanat Kalkan (long jump), Sergei Kharlamov (running 100 meters, long jump), Ravil Mansurbaev (shot put, discus, javelin), Daurenbai Narybekov (javelin), Islam Salimov (running 400 meters, long jump) and Pavel Sydorchuk (shot put, javelin).

On the eve of the World Cup Kazakh Paralympians have gone through ten-day training camp at Almaty Central Stadium. Organization and participation costs for training and secondment have been taken by the National Paralympic Committee with the support of National Welfare Fund "Samruk-Kazyna" JSC. Kazakhstan's Agency of Sport and Physical Education has provided sport outfit for athletes. The results of the joint effort we will soon see on sports arenas of Lyon.

World Championship will be held from 19 to 28 July 2013 in French Lion.

Total number of athletes competing for medals in the championship will be more than 1,300 from 140 countries around the world.
