Kazakhstan's Yaroslava Shvedova eases into Round 2 of Brasil Tennis Cup

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Yaroslava Shvedova of Kazakhstan has advanced to the second round of the Brasil Tennis Cup in Florianopolis, Brazil, Kazinform refers to Sports.kz.

In the first round Shedova took on Spain's Silvia Soler Espinosa. She routed the 26-year-old Espinosa in two straight sets 7:6, 7:6 securing her place in the second round clash with Barbora Záhlavová-Strýcová from the Czech Republic. The Czech tennis player beat the 4th seed of the tournament Francesca Schiavone from Italy 6:4, 1:6, 7:5 in the first round. The Brasil Tennis Cup is a women's tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It is worth noting that Yaroslava Shvedova won this tournament in women's doubles last year together with Anabel Medina Garrigues from Spain.
