Kazakhstan's Yaroslava Shvedova eases into semifinal of Brasil Tennis Cup
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan's Yaroslava Shvedova has advanced into semifinal of the 2014 Brasil Tennis Cup, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.
The 26-year-old Shvedova easily outplayed Romanian Alexandra Kadantu in two straight sets 6:3, 6:3 in the quarterfinal tie.
In the semifinal match the Kazakh tennis star will vie against №36 of the WTA ranking Garbine Muguruza from Spain.
Together with her double's partner Anabel Medina Garrigues, Shvedova strolled past Vania King and Barbora Záhlavová-Strýcová into the women's doubles final of the tournament in Brazil.
