Kazakhstan, San Marino agree on visa-free regime
Kazakhstan and San Marino signed a governmental agreement on mutual visa exemption, Kazinform News Agency reports via the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The agreement was signed November 8 by Yerbolat Sembaev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Malta and the Republic of San Marino, concurrently, and Luca Beccari, the Secretary of State of the Republic of San Marino for Foreign Affairs, International Economic Cooperation, and Telecommunications.
The historical document seeks to promote tourism, business relations and international cooperation, and opens up new prospects for both countries' nationals.
Under the agreement, the nationals of Kazakhstan and San Marino holding valid travel documents, such as national, diplomatic or service passports, are exempted from visa requirements for single or multiple trips for tourism, business and other purposes for a period not exceeding 90 days within each 180-day period.
The agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of San Marino on mutual exemption of entry visa requirements will become effective 30 days after the last written notification is received through diplomatic channels, indicating that both parties have completed the necessary internal procedures for its implementation.
Thus, Kazakhstan has improved its position in the Passport Index Ranking, by moving to a higher position.
