Kazakhstan seeks to export a record of oil and fat products to China
The data from Kazakh Temir Zholy national company reveals the growing export of grain goods from Kazakhstan, with significant increases in exports of barley, lentils and maize, Kazinform News Agency cites the press service of the Kazakh government.
Iran resumed imports of Kazakhstan barley, with an 8fold rise in the past two months. Kazakhstan’s barley export stood at 710,000 tons, a 69% increase in 10 months, the press service of KTZ informed.
The country has boosted its corn grain exports by 1.5-time to 117,000 tons this year, increasing its cord grain export rising by 38% to Tajikistan and by more than threefold to Uzbekistan. Kazakhstan also began exporting corn grain to Iran this year.
Kazakhstan’s exports of lentils were up 8fold, reaching 80,000 tons, with the bulk of the country’s lentil exports going into Europe.
According to KTZ, Kazakhstan’s peas exports saw a threefold increase, with a twofold rise in Afghan imports of Kazakhstani peas and a threefold rise in imports of Kazakhstani peas in Uzbekistan. The country’s rice exports were up 47% (52,000 tons), after entering Azerbaijani and Belarusian markets.
Kazakhstan also seeks to export a record of 250 million US dollars worth of oil and fat products to China in the 2024/25 marketing year.
It was reported that Kazakhstani creameries concluded contracts to the tune of 56 million US dollars at the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai. Presently, China is a top importer of Kazakhstan’s oil and fat products in monetary terms.
