Kazakhstan sees Hungary as perspective economic partner - MEBP

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Ahead of Kazakh Prime Minister's visit to Hungary, Kazakhstani delegation chaired by Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Yerbolat Dossayev met with their Hungarian colleagues to discuss prospects for cooperation, the MEBP's press service reports.

According to Minister Dossayev, Hungary is one of the most active and perspective economic partners of Kazakhstan in Europe. "Our countries enjoy strong economic links and there are a lot of perspectives for cooperation in healthcare, energy, innovations, tourism and sports for them," Hungarian Minister of National Economy Mihály Varga said during the 4th sitting of the Intergovernmental Kazakh-Hungarian Commission for Economic Cooperation. "Hungarian businessmen are keen to participate in the implementation of promising state programs in Kazakhstan, especially investment projects," he elaborated. At the sitting, the sides signed bilateral documents in the field of education and chemical industry. The Hungarian side was invited to take part in the holding of the International specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 in Kazakhstan's capital - Astana. In addition, Kazakhstan and Hungary touched upon the issue of opening direct air communication. NOTE: Sales turnover between Kazakhstan and Hungary totaled $294.2 million in 2013.
