Kazakhstan sends humanitarian aid to quake-hit Afghanistan
Pursuant to the President’s task, Kazakhstan sends humanitarian aid of foodstuff, tents, clothing, and bedclothes up to 1,659 tons to help Afghanistan cope with the consequences of the devastating earthquake, Kazinform learnt from the Kazakh Emergency Situations Ministry’s press service.
Drugs and tents will be delivered by the National Guard aircraft, the rest by rail.
As earlier reported, 45 staff members of the Kazakh Emergency Situations Ministry left for quake-stricken Herat province to join search and rescue efforts.
