Kazakhstan set a goal of increasing importance of OSCE since first days of its presidency - M. P. de Brichambaut
'As we all remember Kazakhstan strongly moved towards its goal to boost the prestige of the Organization', he noted.
OSCE Secretary General emphasized that Kazakhstan made plenty of efforts to hold the OSCE Summit in Astana and high-level meetings.
'We need to change this unique event of the Organization into the mission of the future, into renewed responsibilities of the OSCE principles. It is a difficult task, it is more of a challenge. I would say it is the final and the most important contribution of Kazakhstan to prosperity of the Organization', Marc Perrin de Brichambaut said.
At the end of his speech the OSCE Secretary General expressed his hope that Kazakhstan would be taking active part in life of the Organization in the future. 'We need the support of all 56 member countries to be able to succeed', he added.
