Kazakhstan set to open Military Medicine Academy
The Chief Military Medical Directorate of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan developed a project on setting up a Military Medicine Academy, Kazinform News Agency learnt from the Defense Ministry’s press service.
Currently, military doctors train at the Military Institute of the Kazakh Air Defense and West Kazakhstan Medical University in Aktobe. The Kazakh National Defense University and Astana Medical University offer postgraduate studies for military medical personnel. Besides, they also receive education abroad in Russia, Uzbekistan, Armenia, China and Turkiye.
The project provides for restructuring the current organizations, creating new infrastructure, elaborating educational programs, and receiving licenses. The Military Medicine Center of the Kazakh Defense Ministry in Almaty will lay the groundwork for a new educational establishment. The academy will be co-organized by the Defense Ministry, Healthcare and Science Ministries, Kazakhstan-Russian Medical University, and public organizations.
