Kazakhstan steadily improves business climate - President Nazarbayev

sp; ASTANA. November 13. KAZINFORM. /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Activities on reduction of administrative barriers for business are underway. Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has said it during the live broadcast in Astana today.

"I have paid attention to this issue since the first days of independence. The state should develop small and medium businesses so that they produce more than half of all Kazakhstan's production... The activities on reduction of administrative barriers for business are held regularly. As a result Kazakhstan steadily improves its business climate. From the 71st place in "Doing Business" rating we've raised to the 63rd place", the Head of the State noted.

N. Nazarbayev reminded that the work in this direction was activated over last years. "All kinds of inspections and licenses were reduced by 37 per cent", he said.

"The Government takes measures on improvement of business climate through the Atameken Union and Union of Entrepreneurs under the President of Kazakhstan. Due to these measures 720,000 companies operate in Kazakhstan presently. 2 million people are employed there", the President resumed.
