Kazakhstan studies US experience in entrepreneurship development

WASHINGTON. January 30. KAZINFORM The Kazakh research group, including representatives of the President?s Administration, Ministry of Industry and Trade and ?Entrepreneurship Development Fund ?Damu? JSC, is making a trip to the US to study activity of regional centers of entrepreneurship development. Organizers are ?Damu? Fund, the Kazakh Embassy and corresponding departments of America; Kazinform refers to the Kazakh Embassy.

The Kazakhstanis were welcomed by Associate Administrator for the U.S. Small Business Antonio Doss, who highly appraised practical steps on development of small and medium business taken by the Kazakh leadership. The Kazakh representatives held meetings with a number of the American structures, including heads of the Export-Import Bank and the US Ministry of Trade. Besides, there was held a roundtable with heads and members of the US-Kazakh Business Association (USKBA), consisting of companies, which successfully cooperate with Kazakhstan («ConocoPhilips», «Halliburton», «Chevron», «FedEx», «Access Industries», «ExxonMobil», «General Electric» and etc.)
