Kazakhstan supports Russian and French initiatives on European security architecture: OSCE PA Winter Meeting

ASTANA. February 20. KAZINFORM The Kazakh parliamentaries have attended the ?Special debate dedicated to the initiatives of Russia and France on development of a new architecture of the European security? held within the Winter Meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Vienna; Kazinform refers to the press service of the Kazakh Senate.

Chairman of the Senate?s Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security Kuanysh Sultanov delivered a speech. He noted that despite unpredictability of the global changes, many processes depend on actions of political figures, parliaments and international organizations. ?We welcome humanitarian and noble intentions of leaders of states, which are aimed at strengthening European security?, the Senator said. K.Sultanov emphasized that Kazakhstan supports the initiatives of Russia and France on development of new architecture of the European security. According to the Senator, the OSCE platform is a favorable platform for adaptation of mechanisms of ensuring security and implementation of proposals aimed at overcoming credibility gap and system crisis in the OSCE.
