Kazakhstan sweeps 4 bronze medals at IBO 2024

The prestigious International Biology Olympiad (IBO) 2024 concluded in the Kazakh capital, Astana, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the Enlightenment Ministry. 

This year it brought together 305 young biologists and 275 scientists from 81 countries.

At today’s closing ceremony, the Kazakh Enlightenment Minister Gani Beissembayev thanked all those present and the organizing committee for high praise of the event. He congratulated all the Olympiad winners and runners-up expressing confidence that they would rise to distinction due to their scientific breakthroughs.

The Kazakh team of Galymzhan Baktybai, Amina Tynyrbay, Nurtore Torekhanuly, and Dias Suleimenov won four bronze medals in the IBO 2024.
